The 6th installation of the Rockstar Games mega Gaming series Grand Theft Auto is expected to be released in 2025. We all have been waiting for over a decade for GTA 6. The GTA community is one of the most highly active communities in the gaming world as of now. The fans of GTA are very keen, and they pick up every minor detail regarding GTA and what Rockstar Games releases. Rockstar Games is also known for its subtle but clever way of releasing clues to its fans. So let’s take a look at the latest news surrounding GTA 6.
For the past few weeks, GTA fans have been obsessed with the number ‘27’. Most sources and fan theories suggest December 27th will be the date that Rockstar Games will release the second trailer of GTA 6. It made a lot of sense as it has been exactly a year since GTA 6 trailer 1 was released on December 2023. Judging from the GTA V’s release timelines, The second trailer should be out by now.
It all started when two developers of Rockstar Games, Dan, and Sam Houser, posted their GTA 6 logo-embedded T-shirts that they received as gift packs from Rockstar Games. Fans went crazy analyzing all the miniature details of the 2 photos and the designs. One of the biggest ruckus was made due to a cat who was featured in both developers’ pictures. In one picture, it was inside the bag the GTA 6 merch was in, and in the second developer’s one, it was out. Fans took the literal meaning as “The Cat Is Out Of The Bag,” meaning Rockstar Games will release the GTA 6 trailer pretty soon.
This caused quite the ruckus, and some fans even went to the extent of making patterns out of the cat hair, which could be seen in the pictures, making out a ‘27’. After analyzing more of the content and the trailer again, many hoped that Trailer 2 would be released on the 27th of December.
However, as of December 2024, there have not been any Trailer releases.
Yet, the merch means GTA 6 will be in our hands very soon!
GTA 6 Logo Registration in Brazil
Despite whether a Trailer 2 is out on the 27th or not, One of the biggest leads that point to GTA 6’s release which isn’t that far in the future is the Registrations done for GTA 6 logos in Brazil. For now, Rockstar Games does not have the rights to sell its official merchandise in Brazil directly. However, GTA 6 Trademark being registered in Brazil is legit. This means Rockstar Games can now directly sell their merchandise in Brazil. It will be available in local stores, and shops without having to import them. That screams a big move from Rockstar Games! That means GTA 6 is very close to us.
Interview with Strauss Zelnick
The recent interview of Take-Two Interactive, the Parent Company of GTA 6, CEO Strauss Zelnick, with Conner Mather, A famous Youtuber who is known for imitating GTA 6 in real life, is a noteworthy one. In this interview, Strauss Zelnick quotes GTA 6 as “Worth Waiting”. As a guy who never bluffs about these things, its clear that they are preparing for an outstanding release for GTA 6.
As a company that always prioritizes the quality of its games, Rockstar Games seems to be taking its time to carefully craft a masterpiece. They don’t want to release just another game, it seems Rockstar Games want to out do their previous GTA encounters. It’s not an easy task to outperform GTA V. So, as Zelnick says, we need to wait for the next fragment.
However, One thing is clear: GTA 6 will be out in 2025 Autumn, and It will be the most outstanding game of the GTA series and of the entire gaming world in 2025.
