GTA 6 was named the Most Anticipated Game of the Year at the Game Awards 2024. We all know it’s a well-deserved title, for the next installation of the most popular series of Rockstar Game, Grand Theft Auto! As the Banner Year 2025, for GTA 6 has finally arrived, here are all the details and the latest updates of what we know so far of GTA 6.
Scheduled for Fall, 2025
While there have been multiple assumptions regarding the release date of GTA 6, It has been finally confirmed that GTA 6 will come out in the Fall of 2025. According to Take-Two Interactive the Parent company of Rockstar Games’ latest earning calls, it has been confirmed we can expect GTA 6 to be out latest October 2025.
PC Release Scheduled for 2026
While the tentative release dates have been confirmed for GTA 6, for this year. It will only be released for Playstations and X-boxes. A PC version will be released one year later in 2026. Further, sources have confirmed GTA 6’s first release will be only on PS 5 and X Box X and S for now. It seems for others GTA 6 is much farther away than one might think!
GTA 6 Trailer 2, When?
It has been a little over an since GTA 6’s very first trailer was released. The first trailer which featured one of the main characters, Lucia was released on the 5th of December 2023. This trailer eventually became the most-watched gaming Video on YouTube within 24 hours! Gaining a whopping 82 million views in the first 24 hours.
Though it was widely speculated and predicted the second trailer would be out within a year of the first one’s release, It seems Rockstar Games has other plans. This also leaves the fans wondering when they can expect the second trailer, as Rockstar Games doesn’t seem to be following their previous game agendas. Which were widely used for fan predictions.
However, the Latest news from the Developers confirms that Rockstar Games has already registered GTA 6 logos in Brazil in 2024 December. This shows how close we really are to GTA 6 once again! Though we might not know of an exact date yet, GTA 6 Trailer 2 featuring “Jason” is right around the corner!
Leaked Image of GTA 6 as of January 2025
While we all welcomed a new year this January 1st, GTA fans were also greeted by a sweet present it seems! The latest leaked image of GTA 6 showcases a new location that could not be found or seen in previous leaks or trailers. We all know the active community of GTA 6 who are always keen on picking up any info from even the slightest! Which we love and welcome so happily.
Fans have already analyzed the image, and currently, some say it looks like a Ship Yard due to the containers that are placed in the far back. While others suggest it actually could be an Army Base. While these are very interesting possibilities, Fans have also speculated that this image could be around 4 years old. So the location might have changed so much as Rockstar Games keenly developed over the years!
However, the community collectively agrees the latest leak of January 2025 was a purposefully leaked image. It is said to be leaked from Rockstar Games offices in San Diego. Is it to rile up the community a bit more? Or is it to confuse the fans even more? Guess we need to wait till Rockstar Games confirms yet anything!
GTA 6; Rockstar Game’s Cash Cow
Rockstar Games has been working on GTA 6 since 2014. A decade, worth of planning, designing and developing with careful crafting is about to be released. GTA 6 is expected to be the Cash Cow of Rockstar Games, in this decade. It is predicted to be the most successful game in the GTA series, and possibly even out of all the games Rockstar Games have released so far!
It is estimated that the GTA 6’s budget is around Two Billion United States dollars! Which helps to imagine the scale of the project. Analysts estimate that GTA 6 will generate a revenue of over 3 billion dollars in the first year from its release date alone!
Latest Interview with Zelnick
One of the most watched people regarding GTA 6 is Take-Two Interactive’s CEO Strauss Zelnick. The GTA community has always trusted his words and is closely watched by everyone as a reliable source of GTA 6 news. The most recent interview with Zelnick appears to have created a spark in the community again. Zelnick sat for an interview with Conner Mather, A famous YouTuber who imitates GTA characters in real life.
Among various things they discussed GTA 6 was one of the most anticipated topics without a doubt. To Mather’s question regarding GTA 6, Zelnick replied with just one sentence
“Worth The Wait”
Zelnick has always been a humble person, who does not elaborate on their projects. So to hear him labeling GTA 6 as worth waiting is a massive recognition boost for GTA 6.
GTA 6 Setting and Characters
After all, What we know of GTA 6 so far for sure is that its location will be the Vice City, in the fictional state of Leonida. Which is inspired by Florida in the USA. The main characters Jason and Lucia are inspired by the top American criminal duo Bonnie and Clyde.
The characters have already become so beloved by the GTA fans. Especially the buzz around Lucia seems to be high since she is the very first playable female character of the entire GTA series. Fans are eager to meet Jason as he has been quite the mystery for so long now.
In the Fall of this year, we will be finally able to meet GTA 6 after a decade of waiting. The GTA 6 release will become one of the most celebrated gaming releases in the history of gaming!
